Community Events Build Trust With Public

May 28th, 2025

Alpha & Omega Troopers participate in many public service events, especially for our client The Woodlands Township.  We believe the interactions we have with the public at these events help establish a respect for authority.  Riders have more time to talk to people, answer questions, explain our role, and offer safety tips. Children and adults who see us at events warm up to the Troopers and are more likely to seek their help in a time of need.

They see us as a non-threatening presence there to help rather than control or judge them. When they see us at law enforcement ceremonial events, they connect that we are part of a comprehensive security plan including law enforcement, security personnel, fire department professionals, and others. Although this may be seen as the “soft” side of public safety, participating in community events is an essential part of the public relations of an effective overall security plan.
